Building with EasyStack installed.
EasyStack is connected to 50 campus buildings at the University of Richmond, almost 2000 pieces of equipment, and a total of approximately 2,500,000 square feet. The centralized graphics, data collection, alarms, and uniform user interface across all platforms (desktop, smartphone, and tablet) made EasyStack the right choice for this project.
Julian Morgan, Facilities Manager, University of Richmond:
When I first evaluated[…] the Historian [app] was what sold me. To have that amount of data at your fingertips is invaluable as a facility manager. EasyStack provided University of Richmond a path forward with any vendor’s control product.
EasyStack is not just a BAS integration system, it is facility management tool and when you have a 2.5M sq ft campus to manage it was a
no brainer. I can customize the user interface to make my job of managing the campus easier.
This a multi-building EasyStack project, executed by our partner Doust Automation & Control. Set in the heart of Kensington Campus the university’s dedicated venues and events centre Scientia is the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Venues and Events’ flagship venue. It accommodates up to 800 guests for a range of venues and events. Venues include Leighton Hall, Tyree Room and Alumni Terrace, The Galleries, Ritchie Theatre and Seminar Rooms.
Our EasyStack software is overlaying the existing BACnet Delta Controls hardware. UNSW has various BMS hardware products on site. EasyStack was chosen for the potential to sit over the top of BACnet systems. Along with it tagging and data modelling, the UNSW can see this is the future.
The Delta Controls are controlling the following equipment:
- Chillers and Chilled Water Pumps
- Boilers and Hot Water Pumps
- Air Handling Units with Heat Reclaim Wheels (see right screenshot)
- Fan Coil Units
